A classic icon of modern design that is made by the original manufacturer according to the exact specifications when the lamp was first introduced. As a Japanese born aerospace engineer, Isao Hosoe moved to Italy in his early twenties to establish his own design office in Milan. His first design (1970) was the Hebi Lamp which propelled him into the international media spotlight. Hebi because a huge success with many thousands sold throughout Europe. Named 'Hebi' (Italian for Snake) because of its flexible structure which allows you to twist & turn the lamp in almost any direction. In addition, Hebi features a rotatable shade. Created in 1970, this lamp is one of the many icons of 20th century design. It holds a rightful place in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
